Position Responsibilities

  • Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
  • Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement.
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
  • Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
  • Impact desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.

Position Requirements

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of concrete construction experience.
  • Own reliable transportation.
  • Own Steel-toed safety boots.
  • Possess a valid class 5 driver's license.

Position Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials.
  • Comprehend and practice safe work procedures.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades.
  • Mix, pour and spread materials.
  • Assist heavy equipment operators.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications.
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at constructions sites
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites

Position Requirements

  • Own reliable transportation.
  • Own Steel-toed safety boots.
  • Handle up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Possess a valid class 5 driver's license.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Safety tickets an asset.

Job description

The concrete foreman is responsible for the welfare of his crew members and assigned equipment to complete the task at hand. He will communicate well with his crew, safety personnel, administration, site superintendents, city officials, and suppliers. He must be proficient in actual field work including; form work, base preparation, rebar installation, placing and finishing concrete. He must be organized and direct to guide his crew to meet deadlines, guarantee construction meets all plans, specifications, and quality expectations.

Position Requirements & Responsibilities

  • 5 years of concrete construction experience in the field building large commercial civil sites including; curb and gutter, sidewalks, ramps, aprons, misc. slabs and commercial crossings.
  • Plus 3 years supervisory experience leading a crew(s).
  • Proficient concrete finisher.
  • Proficient in interpreting plans and specifications to insure structures are installed accurately.
  • Meet budgets
  • Complete all reporting to administration.
  • Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings.
  • Possess a valid class 5 driver's license.
  • Own Steel-toed safety boots.
  • All current training tickets an asset.
